Dr Hilda Ganesen

I am Dr Hilda Ganesen.  I am a Family Physician based at Core Medical Centre in Durban North. I graduated as a medical doctor in 2004 (MBCHB, University of KwaZulu Natal).  I completed my Master's degree in Family Medicine in 2013 (MMED FAM MED, University of KwaZulu Natal).  During my training in family medicine, I worked in rural clinics in Northern KwaZulu Natal.  I have experience in HIV research and currently am a clinical trial reviewer for SAHPRA.

My private practice in Durban North was established in 2012. I see a wide variety of acute and chronic medical conditions and my special interests are HIV, diabetes, primary mental health care, preventative medicine, and women's health care.

My practice model is to prevent disease rather than just treat diseases.

the practice is contracted to most major medical aids.
